
Overview
Dr. Marc Delaney is a specialty care physician board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, with additional expertise in advanced cardiac imaging. He joined Inova in 2025 as a member of the general cardiology team and serves as an imaging specialist in transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography, as well as cardiac MRI and CT. Dr. Delaney completed his residency in Pediatrics at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, which included a 12-month research fellowship with the National Institutes of Health. He then pursued a categorical fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA, followed by advanced fellowship training in cardiac imaging at Kravis Children’s Hospital of Mount Sinai in New York City, NY. His research interests and experience focus on quality improvement in medical education and enhancing the understanding and detection of various pathological conditions of the right ventricle through advanced imaging techniques. Dr. Delaney is passionate about working with the diverse populations in the region, which he considers one of the most rewarding aspects of his role. He is committed to patient-centered care and strives to make complex medical topics accessible to patients and their families. Outside of work, Dr. Delaney enjoys outdoor activities including sailing, biking, hiking, camping, and playing volleyball with friends.
