Overview
Growing up, I always had an interest in science and biology. I knew that I would likely pursue a career in this area, however, I did not immediately think that I would choose a career in medicine. Originally, I thought about becoming a professor and going for my Ph.D. My life took an abrupt turn in college when I worked in the hospital as an orderly and truly loved the experience. I enjoyed talking and interacting with the patients and their families, as well as being part of their care team. Through this experience, I saw the good that medicine and health care could do and the difference it made in my patient's lives. I chose a career in medicine to interact with and build relationships with patients, further my medical and scientific knowledge, and take the best possible care for my patients. What I want my patients to know about me:I was born and raised in Pottsville, Pennsylvania and attended undergraduate/medical school in Philadelphia. My wife and I moved to Lancaster county for my residency training, and we fell in love with the area, the people, and the culture. It has been an honor working with and caring for the people of Lancaster, and I wanted to continue practicing in this area. I want you to know that I will always take the time to listen to my patients and will always treat the whole person. I will work as hard as I can to provide the best possible care for my patients. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I am not working in the hospital, I am usually spending time with family and friends. I frequently go hiking with my wife and our dogs, go to the gym, and ski during the winter. I also enjoy watching sports (particularly football and baseball), playing video games and eating at various restaurants throughout Lancaster County.
