After 26 years of practice doing orthopedic trauma, it is reasonable for me to have an idea of the spectrum of outcomes most likely to occur. | Why I entered medicine | I entered medicine primarily to make people better. I chose the field of orthopedic trauma because I enjoy getting people who were severely injured and incapacitated back to enjoying their lives. | Community involvement | I have been a part of the AO Foundation, an international group focused on orthopedic education, my entire career. Our mission is to provide outstanding education to the young surgeons of North America and around the world. We help train like-minded individuals to become the best surgeons they can be , as well as future educational leaders. | Personal interests | I enjoy golf, fishing and swimming for exercise.
