I decided to pursue a career in medicine to help others.I wanted to help others attain a higher level of health and wellness by providing information on prevention and education.My goal is to model those behaviors and to share how to enjoy improved health everyday.What I want my patients to know about me:I started teaching exercise classes in 1981 to earn money to go to nursing school.I have been a certified yoga instructor since 1985 and a certified Pilates instructor since 2000.I recently became certified as a health coach with the National Society of Health Coaches.My specialty certification is in Obesity and Weight Management, CSOWMWhat I do when I'm not seeing patients:My spare time is spent with my family and enjoying the outdoors. I enjoy walking the dog and watching wildlife in my yard.I teach yoga classes, Tai Chi classes and Pilates classes, and do weight lifting.
