Dr. Mohamed Soliman Ahmed Elfar is a fellowship-trained and board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Born on February 1, 1969, in Port Said, Egypt, Dr. Elfar earned his M.B., B. Ch., (MD) from the Faculty of Medicine at Suez Canal University in Egypt in 1991, followed by an M.Sc. (Master’s degree in Surgery) in 1997. Dr. Elfar furthered his education in the United States, completing the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) in 2000.
Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Elfar has held various key positions. Notably, he served as the Director of the Clark Burn Center and Assistant Professor in the Division of Burns/Trauma/Critical Care at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, he contributed to medical education as a Clinical Instructor at the Medical School of Rowan University in Camden, New Jersey, from 2016 to 2018. Dr. Elfar’s commitment to advancing the field is evident in his multiple leadership appointments, including being an ABLS National Faculty member and a member of the American Burn Association’s Ethics Committee.
