Dr. Ngoc-tram Ha

Ngoc-Tram Ha, MD, is pulmonologist specializing in interventional pulmonology. She treats adults for a variety of lung conditions. She uses minimally invasive methods of early diagnosing and staging lung cancer, as well as treating central airway obstructions and pleural disease. Dr. Ha performs various types of bronchoscopies, including bronchoalveolar lavage, transbronchial biopsies, endobronchial ultrasounds with transbronchial needle aspirations and robotic navigational bronchoscopies. She has clinical expertise in more complex procedures such as endobronchial valves for severe COPD, cryotherapy, argon plasma coagulation and stent placement for tumors and tracheal stenosis.|She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Ha completed a residency at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Conn., then did fellowships at Geisinger Medical Center and at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.|“I truly enjoy being there for patients who need to have a procedure done,” says Dr. Ha. Because many patients she sees are very sick, she says she loves seeing them improve after a successful treatment.|Dr. Ha was born and raised in Germany before moving to the United States. As a child of immigrants, she was inspired to become a physician by her parents. “My parents always encouraged me to pursue a field that I was truly passionate about but would also provide me with a solid educational background,” she says.
