I knew I was interested in helping people when I was in elementary school. Combined with my interest in biology and science, medicine as a career became my passion. As a surgeon, I like that I am able to improve patients' problems almost immediately. The gratitude and appreciation I get from patients after solving their issues makes my work very satisfying.What I want my patients to know about me:I am passionate about improving patient recovery and the whole patient experience related to surgery. I feel that any improvement related to a surgical procedure, no matter how big or small, can improve a patient's outcome. As a result, I like to emphasize the benefit of minimally-invasive surgery/robotics, enhanced recovery pathways, and treating patients' overlying issues as quickly as possible.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy cycling, running, spending time with my family, and traveling to the beach on vacation. Some of my favorite places I have visited include Southeast Asia, Curacao, Greece, and Northern California.
