Overview
My surgical specialties include minimally invasive (robotic and laparoscopic) hernia surgery, as well as surgery of the gallbladder and gastrointestinal tract. I also perform surgery for breast cancer and for other cancer patients. I completed my undergraduate degree at Harvard University and my medical degree at the University of Illinois, with surgical training at the University of Minnesota. I believe that patient education is a critical part of surgical care. My desire is to empower each patient with a full understanding of his or her surgical issues, with the goal that every patient have a clear picture of their surgical and nonsurgical treatment options so that we can confidently approach such important decisions together. Since joining Park Nicollet in 2006, I’ve greatly appreciated being a part of the high quality surgical care that we provide to the community.
