Cheema received a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside, before completing medical school at Ross University School of Medicine. She then pursued an internal medicine residency at Yale-affiliated St. Mary's Hospital in Connecticut and a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, Cheema served for three years as an assistant clinical professor at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. Prior to joining SSM Health Medical Group, she served in outpatient, primary care and internal medicine settings for four years. Cheema is passionate about sharing her knowledge in scientific publications and manuscripts. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and American College of Rheumatology.
