Upon graduation, she then went on to complete her Residency at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, where she became certified in Family Medicine. After completing her Residency, she worked as a locum tenen physician for 2 years which culminated in Haiti as a volunteer. Dr. Huwe then joined a private practice in Guttenberg, Iowa for 5 years. In 1997 she began working with a local Cedar Falls group now known as Unity Point Clinics. In 2018 she worked for Care Here as a family physician at CUNA Mutual Company Waverly. Overall, she has been practicing in the Cedar Valley for more than 23 years. Her areas of interest are Diabetes, Pediatric Care, Preventative Medicine, Wellness, Women's Health, Hypertension, and Mental Health. One of her greatest joys has been watching patients and families grow and develop. Cindy and her husband Andy live in Cedar Falls and they have 2 children.
