After medical school, Dr. Whitley moved to Tampa, Florida for his residency training in General Surgery at University of South Florida. He completed three years of training in General Surgery followed by four years in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He was Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.Dr. Whitley met his wife, Ginny, in Tampa and they married during his last year of residency. They moved to Brevard County in 1991, where he joined Brevard Ear, Nose & Throat Center. They now have four children and a golden retriever. They recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.Dr. Whitley has had extensive training and experience in all types of Head and Neck Surgery, including Cancer and Thyroid disorders. He has expertise in Computer Guided Sinus Surgery, including Non Invasive Balloon Sinuplasty as well as treatment in Allergy. He specializes in Speech, Swallowing, Balance and Hearing disorders.Dr. Whitley and Ginny attend East Coast Christian Center and have a special interest in Marriage Enrichment Ministry. In his spare time, Dr. Whitley enjoys flying antique airplanes, sailing, and camping with his family. They have traveled most of the lower 48 states with a pop up camper.
