Dr. Scott Mcknight

Dr. Scott Thomas McKnight received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then completed a residency in colon and rectal surgery and fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School. Board certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, Dr. McKnight has clinical interest in colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and anorectal surgical disease including fecal incontinence. Dr. McKnight believes in treating his patients, who are 15 years and older, the way he would like to be treated and in a timely and efficient manner. He addresses each patient’s concerns, answers all questions and makes his patients feel welcome and comfortable knowing that it can be difficult to discuss colon and rectal problems. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. A resident of the Memorial City area of Houston, Dr. McKnight is married and has two daughters. He enjoys playing golf, reading and attending church.
