Dr. Stephane Desouches

Perry Pickhardt, MD, is a UW Health radiologist and a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He performs advanced abdominal imaging to help diagnose a wide range of conditions affecting the stomach, large and small intestines, liver, spleen and gallbladder.Dr. Pickhardt uses X-rays, CT scans, MRIs and ultrasounds to diagnose conditions such as abdominal pain, appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) and diverticulitis (inflammation or infection in the pouches of the digestive tract). He also performs biopsies (removing tissue or cells for examination) using imaging guidance.Dr. Pickhardt believes teamwork is important for figuring out a patient’s condition and the next steps of their treatment.
