Dr. Stephen Raterman is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. With 40 years of experience, his expertise includes: Joint replacement Reconstructive surgery Arthroscopic surgery for hips, knees and shoulders Dr. Raterman is an innovator in minimally invasive joint replacement surgery of the knee and hip, including partial knee replacements and hip resurfacing. He is one of a few doctors in the region who do hip resurfacing. Dr. Raterman’s Training Dr. Raterman earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky, and received his medical degree from the University of Louisville. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and received additional sports medicine training at Orthopaedic Associates of Aspen and the Southern California Institute for Sports Medicine. About Dr. Raterman Dr. Raterman is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Florida Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Raterman serves a clinical associate professor of orthopedics at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, cycling, boating and water skiing.
