Steven Milos, MD, is a UW Health orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS).Dr. Milos treats people of all ages who have sports injuries and overuse injuries—from young athletes to weekend warriors and older adults who suffer from pain. He is specially trained to perform the latest, minimally invasive knee and shoulder surgeries. Dr. Milos also cares for patients who don’t need surgery or choose nonsurgical treatment options.During office visits, Dr. Milos talks with his patients about their injury and how it happened. He listens carefully to understand their goals. He explains their treatment options—both surgical and nonsurgical—and reassures them that they’re in good hands. Together, they create a rehabilitation plan to address the patient’s specific needs.Dr. Milos works to eliminate each person’s pain, restore function, and help them return to their sports, jobs and previous activities.During his free time, Dr. Milos enjoys traveling, food and sports.I treat my patients like my own family. I work for successful outcomes so they can be healthy and productive in whatever activity they choose.
