Dr. Umang Patel

Umang Hasmukh Patel, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), formerly known as the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy (NEOUCOM), in Rootstown. He went on to complete his residency training in radiation oncology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of radiology, Dr. Patel is trained to identify cancer types and create a targeted treatment plan that will increase the patient's chances of overcoming the disease. He specializes in intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT/IG-IMRT) with CBCT and BAT guidance, volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and helical tomotherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT, SABR), intracavitary and interstitial low dose rate (LDR) and high dose rate (HDR) gynecologic brachytherapy, interstitial LDR prostate brachytherapy and intracavitary high dose rate (HDR) breast brachytherapy. He cares for patients living in Conroe, Houston, Hufsmith, Spring and Tomball. Dr. Patel is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO), the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS), the Texas Medical Association (TMA) and the Texas Radiological Society (TRS).
