She is experienced in a variety of surgical techniques, including endoscopic (long, thin camera used to evaluate and treat problems in the stomach and intestines without incisions), laparoscopic (multiple tiny incisions instead of one larger incision) and robotic approaches.Because her care seeks to improve the patient’s quality of life, Dr. Rendell takes time to fully understand each patient’s background, lifestyle and health goals. She uses a combination of skill and compassion to help improve her patients’ lives.In addition to her clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Rendell conducts research focused on improving hernia care for people across the state.Outside of work, Dr. Rendell enjoys spending time with her family and baking.What makes me excited about taking care of my patients is that I help improve their quality of life by turning a negative surgical experience into a positive surgical experience.
