Dr. Vincent Depalma

An orthopedic surgeon, Vincent DePalma’s interests encompass lumbar and cervical stenosis and radiculopathy; lumbar scoliosis and lumbar and cervical deformity; anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF); and lumbar decompression, discectomy and fusion, among others. He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and is chief of spine surgery at Saint Joseph London, where he sees patients of all ages.In practice since 2014, Dr. DePalma has a patient-centered approach to care. “I take time to understand each patient’s concerns, fears and goals and engage in shared decision making by explaining treatment options,” he said. He was especially inspired to be a doctor by his late father and the impact he had on patients. His work has earned Saint Joseph London the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval through the Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery program.Dr. DePalma holds an undergraduate degree from University of Virginia, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His residency was at Hofstra Northwell Health in New York, and he completed a fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on complex spine reconstructive surgery and training under one of the world's most renowned spine surgeons.
