Dr. Song chose to be a doctor because I wanted to spend my life making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. When choosing a specialty, I wanted to find something that I would find fulfilling. Spine surgery is intellectually challenging and I love a good challenge. I am most satisfied by correcting spinal deformities and doing complicated revisions. There is nothing like reconstructing a patient's spine and giving them their quality of life back. I spend a lot of my time counseling my patients so they feel informed and confident in the treatment course that we decide on.
