Why Did You Become a Medical Provider? Curiosity in the wonder of life, together with my growing faith, I suspected I would be either priest or physician, then understood (what I still believe now) these were both the same.Personal Interests and Hobbies: My family, my faith, my current work in a masters of Divity program, biking (electric), robotics and STAR WARS!A native of the Northeast, I was the youngest of an immigrant family focused on thriving in a dense multicultural neighborhood. My father, coming from a small town in Greece, was first amongst many who instilled the importance of working towards defining oneself through excellence. Family & life experiences tempered this integrity with empathy and stewardship, as I sought to do all I could to live life by exampleIn half century since, I spent much of my career engaged in teaching, including residents and fellows, as a board-certified General and Colon & Rectal Surgeon.
