Daniel Scott Horwitz, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in orthopaedic trauma. Dr. Horwitz is the chief of Trauma for the Geisinger Musculoskeletal Institute. Dr. Horwitz received his medical degree from Washington University, St. Louis. He currently supervises two international trauma research fellows, actively teaches orthopaedic residents and lectures nationally and internationally on all aspects of orthopaedic trauma. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Horwitz enjoys visiting Scotland, and his favorite food is sushi. He spends much of his time with 3 dogs, 5 cats and 70 chickens.
