Overview
Suresh Patil, MD, is a fellowship trained joint replacement surgeon. He performs minimally invasive Mako® robotic-arm-assisted surgery for total hip replacement, total knee replacement and partial knee replacement.|Dr. Patil completed three fellowship programs from 2010 to 2012 including fellowships in adult reconstruction (Joint Replacement) at the University of Chicago, Illinois and another fellowship on adult reconstruction at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.|Dr. Patil earned his medical degree from the King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital and Seth G.S. Medical College. Dr. Horwitz has published extensively on aspects of orthopaedic trauma, ranging from fracture fixation and early evaluation of geriatric patients to health system issues, including efficiency and medical legal questions. He currently supervises two international trauma research fellows, actively teaches orthopaedic residents and lectures nationally and internationally on all aspects of orthopaedic trauma. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Horwitz enjoys visiting Scotland, and his favorite food is sushi. He spends much of his time with 3 dogs, 5 cats and 70 chickens.
