In Colorado, he took advantage of the beautiful outdoors, frequently hiking and skiing. He summited several 14,000 ft peaks, and has skied at most of the major ski resorts in the state. This continues to be one of his favorite pastimes. In addition to his comprehensive dermatologic training in residency, he developed a particular interest in dermatopathology (interpreting skin biopsies), and went on to complete a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with several internationally recognized faculty members. He is a member of several national organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology. Dr. Boulavsky stayed local for her residency training at the Houston Methodist Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine Department of Dermatology.
