There is a great lack of focus on preventing disease in our nation and culture as a whole, which leads to more and more people suffering from worsening disease burden. As a primary care provider, I feel that it is my mission to help my patient’s down a path of preventing disease and keeping existing diseases from worsening. This requires focusing on lifestyle changes that can help to both prevent and slow down the progression of disease. This includes discussing what to eat, how much to eat, exercising, and taking needed medications regularly with my patients. However, that is not all. This also includes addressing behavioral health as well as completing recommended screenings for disease and vaccinations. If we can successfully increase the amount of the population in whom we can prevent disease, then we can finally begin to turn back the clock on the increasing chronic conditions and healthcare costs ailing the public. Equipping my patients with knowledge about all these elements not only leads to better healthcare outcomes for themselves, but also their loved ones as they share this information and their results with them.

I am a family medicine doctor providing primary care to all ages of patients, ranging from children to geriatrics. I truly value the patient-doctor relationship and find it humbling being trusted by patients with the most private parts of their lives. I enjoy getting to know each patient and learning about them as an individual to help personalize their care. I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and have received all of my education in the Triangle. I love the area and enjoy spending my free time with my family, hiking, running, and playing soccer.
