He is especially grateful his office is located close to Hill Air Force Base to continue caring for service members and their families. Because of his military experience he is skilled in diagnosis and management of muscle, tendon, bone and joint injuries. He also has experience in treating sports related concussions and helped write the joint Veterans Affairs/Department of Defense clinical practice guidelines for concussion imaging in a deployed setting. He also has extensive experience in managing exercise related heat injuries/illness.He has a special interest in combat, collision and contact sports. He has served as a ring-side physician for Utah Youth Boxing.  He is on the external advisory committee for Major League Rugby and is the head team physician for the Utah Warriors professional rugby team. He is also part of the team physician pool for USA rugby and was the Match Day Doctor for the Pacific Nations Cup in 2025 and is a world rugby educator.He is a Fellow of both the American College of Sports Medicine and American Academy of Family Physicians.
