I started my health care career as a nurse at Duke and transitioned to primary care as a family nurse practitioner. I wanted to be able to develop ongoing relationships with my patients and their loved ones. I believe that preventative care is an integral part of health care and firmly rooted in primary care. I am a big sports fan, most notably anything involving The University of Alabama.

I believe that medical care should be from a holistic approach. It is important to me to not only care for the physical body, but also take into consideration the patient's emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Understanding the person as a whole will aid in creating the best health plan for each unique patient.
