Dr. Monaco, who had previously worked in a private practice in San Diego, decided to give back to the community by taking a position as an assistant professor at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, where she taught both academically and clinically. After that, she relocated to the East Coast where she worked for a private practice.
