Dr. Thomas P. Nowakowski

Dr. Casimir is a board-certified and fellowship-trained general surgeon subspecializing in trauma, acute care surgery and surgical critical care. His clinical interests include acute care surgery, trauma surgery and minimally invasive surgery. His research interests include extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Dr. Casimir earned his medical degree from Tufts University. He completed his residencies at UMass Memorial Health Care, Hahnemann Campus, and Wake Forest University, Baptist Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation at Wake Forest University, Baptist Medical Center, and a fellowship in surgical critical care and acute care surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
