"Shawn Stevenson, DO, FACS is an employed provider who serves as the Director of Bariatric and Foregut Surgery and employed provider at Dignity Health Arizona.He is a board certified, fellowship trained surgeon who specializes in advanced bariatric surgical procedures including metabolic weight loss, weight loss and oncology surgery using advanced laparoscopic techniques.Dr. Stevenson earned his undergraduate in Biology from Grand Canyon University. He earned his doctorate degree in Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University and completed is residency in General Surgery at the University of Arizona.He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Arizona Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He is a professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, an Assistant Profession at Midwestern University College of Medicine and Adjunct Professor at A.T. Still University College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Clinical Preceptor for Northern Arizona University.It is a privilege to be entrusted with the health of our patients and to provide them with the best possible care and outcomes available.
