His original findings linking smoking to hearing loss garnered attention from national news outlets and many scientific citations. After serving a year as Chief Resident, he moved his family back home to St. Charles County to join Midwest ENT Centre in 2008. Since that time, Dr. Conoyer has developed a reputation as a regional early adopter of emerging medical technologies and minimally-invasive surgical procedures that offer better outcomes and quality-of-life to his patients. He was the first in the bi-state area to perform an in-office balloon sinus dilation procedure and remains among the nation’s most experienced with these procedures. He has similarly been a pioneer with many other office-based ENT technologies, including the Vivaer® procedure (treating nasal obstruction), Eustachian tube dilation, posterior nasal nerve treatments for vasomotor rhinitis, steroid-eluting sinus implantations and the fitting and placement of direct-drive hearing aids. A third-generation physician, Dr. Boone began her otolaryngology practice in St. Charles County in the 1990s. Her father, Dr. James Vighi, also an otolaryngologist, practiced in the county for 25 years.  A board-certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Boone is a St. Louis native who attended Chesterfield’s Parkway Central High School before achieving a degree in biomedical engineering at Northwestern University.
