Dr. Macias is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine. He is a graduate of the Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency training in pediatrics at the LAC-USC Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Macias was a staff pediatrician for the San Luis Medical Clinic and Family Care Center Pediatrics prior to becoming a founding partner with Dr. Dale Rowland at Central Coast Pediatrics Inc. in 1990. He has served as a member of the governing board at French Hospital, and section chair of Pediatrics.

Dr. Macias was also past Chief of Staff at General Hospital. He is an active member of the Medical staffs at French Hospital Medical Center, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.

Dr. Macias enjoys traveling with his wife Yvonne and spending time with their two young adult sons. In addition, Dr. Macias has international medical experience having been involved in programs in Mexico and Haiti. Presently, he is also on the advisory board of AMISTAD International, a non-profit foundation that provides humanitarian aid throughout the world.

Currently Dr. Macias is not accepting new patients, but will see newborns of existing family members in his practice.
