Effective October 27, 2022, Joel Cook, DO, will no longer be affiliated and practicing with St. Joseph Health Medical Group.With the departure of Dr. Cook, please be assured your transition of care will be handled with the utmost care and respect. We have several providers within our St. Joseph and Texas A&M Health Primary Care Holleman location that you may choose from for your primary care needs. In addition, we have several other primary care providers across the Bryan-College Station area. For questions regarding medical records or to obtain medical records, please call the St. Joseph Health Medical Records Office at 979.776.2524.Joel Cook, D.O. is a graduate of Texas A&M University 95 and went to medical school at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency training in the Brazos Valley at Texas A&M Family Medicine Residency. An admiration of his childhood physician led him to pursue medicine. Dr. Cook enjoys caring for patients from infants to senior adults and looks forward to caring for the Bryan-College Station community. His passion lies in helping his patients take ownership of their health and make long-term lifestyle changes to impact their well-being. Dr. Cook is married with three young children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and plays guitar and piano. He s also happy to be back in the home of Kyle Field so that he can watch the Aggies play!.

Center For Infectious Diseases At The Woodlands Hospital - The Woodlands, TX
Charles Sims, MD, is a board-certified infectious disease specialist. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Dr. Sims completed his bachelor’s degree at Rice University and then earned his medical degree at the UT Health Science Center at Houston. After finishing school, Dr. Sims joined the United States Navy, where he completed his internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego. He then participated in a Fellowship in Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine and later became an Undersea Medical Officer for the U.S. Navy. After finishing his service, Dr. Sims participated in an Infectious Disease Fellowship at the UT Health Science Center at Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center. He then started a private practice in Conroe and The Woodlands, where he served the community for 14 years. He has since joined Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group as an Area Medical Director and an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Sims also serves the community as the Local Health Authority for Montgomery County. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, an OB/GYN, and their four kids. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Mamigonian attended California State University Northridge, earning a bachelor s degree in Biology and Autonomous University of Guadalajara where he received his M.D. degree. After earning his degree in Guadalajara, Dr. Mamigonian moved to Valhalla, New York, where he completed the Fifth Pathway Program at New York Medical College. He left New York to further his education by completing his residency at Brazos Family Medicine Program. He's been with CHI St. Joseph Health since 2008.
