Overview
Board certified in radiation oncology, Matthew Manning, MD, balances his leadership and clinical responsibilities with clinical interest in prostate, bladder, brain and spine, melanoma and thoracic cancers.
His research on high-tech therapies, including stereotactic radiosurgery and brachytherapy, has helped elevate Cone Health’s cutting-edge clinical care at national meetings. In recent years, he has been published in the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics and International Radiation Oncology Biology and Physics. In 2016, he received the Association of Community Cancer Centers’ Innovator Award. In collaboration with the Greensboro Health Disparities Collaborative, he has also co-authored studies to eliminate racial disparity in cancer care.
Married with three children, he enjoys live music, going to the gym and traveling.
