Dr. Christopher G. Tsai

Dr. Tsai graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and his pulmonary critical care medicine fellowship at UPMC. He is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. Dr. Tsai specializes in pulmonology, critical care medicine, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, sleep disorders, and interstitial lung disease. Dr. Tsai is chairman of the COPD task force and director of the Center for Sleep Disorders at UPMC St. Margaret. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Tsai’s COPD team was honored by the Jewish Healthcare Foundation of Pittsburgh and the Fine Foundation, with silver (2009) and gold (2011) Fine Awards for Teamwork Excellence in Health Care for work in reducing hospital readmissions for COPD.
