Both of my parents were in the medical field and strongly influenced the direction of my career. I became a physical therapist, which I enjoyed immensely, but I thought I could make a different contribution to patient care by becoming a physician. In radiology, we are part of the medical team that helps diagnose or exclude an illness and we help to direct the course of our patient’s treatment. Working with children is an amazing experience. Kids are so resilient and bounce back from all types of difficult situations. They each have such a unique perspective and we try our best to tailor our interactive imaging procedures to the child. Sometimes this involves providing anatomy lessons to teen patients, other times it involves just “getting it over with.” We aim to make our imaging procedures as interesting and as comfortable as possible. My areas of interest include: Pediatric Body Imaging  Fetal Imaging Child Abuse I try to provide the most accurate information based on our imaging studies to the patient’s medical team so that the child can be treated as quickly as possible. I am fortunate to work with an incredible group of medical practitioners at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children who share my passion to provide the highest quality medical care to all children. Dr. Harty is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Bronchogenic Cyst. Her top areas of expertise are Caffey Disease, X-Linked Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Tarda, Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Congenita, and Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia.

Dr. Vandna Passi is a pediatric pulmonologist at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. She's an author of peer-reviewed medical journal articles, an invited presenter and an active researcher. I always wanted to work with children, and knew I wanted to be a pediatrician since I finished college. Then, in medical school, I spent a lot of my fourth year in pediatric subspecialties. Now, I get a lot of satisfaction seeing my patients over the long term — I can see their progress and development, and watch them as they grow. Children are such fun to work with and it can be simpler to approach their health issues than with adults. It's very fulfilling. One reason I chose pediatric pulmonology was because I liked the mix of being able to see and help children on an outpatient basis (helping kids on well and sick visits in our clinic) and also provide inpatient care to children who are acutely sick and admitted to the hospital. In my residency, I saw a lot of inner-city children. Many became seriously ill simply because their asthma wasn't being cared for, they hadn't been diagnosed properly, or they (and their families) hadn't been properly educated on how to manage their care. This was way more common than it should have been. I knew I wanted to help these kids, as well as all those who had other pulmonology issues, too. I'm passionate about working with patients and families to educate them on the conditions they’re dealing with, and how to prevent serious episodes and achieve the best possible quality of life. I'm also passionate about our hospital and staff continually setting best practices for treating children with pulmonology conditions and following those procedures routinely. I'm especially interested in these procedures being followed in our intensive care unit (ICU), as well as in our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and outpatient clinic. A big part of what I do is educate families on what they need to know regarding their child's condition and health, including proper medication and care. I can't be with their child at all times, so it's really about empowering each family to help their child's quality of life. In children with asthma, for instance, I feel they should never be limited. Together with their family, I want to help them do whatever they want to do in life. Dr. Passi is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Bronchogenic Cyst. Her top areas of expertise are Subglottic Stenosis, Ellis-Van Creveld Syndrome, Thanatophoric Dysplasia, and Kozlowski Warren Fisher Syndrome.

David Saul was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. He attended Drexel University for undergraduate studies in biology and premedical education. David also attended Drexel University's College of Medicine to obtain his MD. Subsequently, he completed his internship and residency in diagnostic radiology at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He has worked as an attending radiologist in both private and academic practices, before joining Nemours in September 2019. I believe that children are uniquely deserving of our best care because they are innocent, vulnerable and often unaware or not fully aware of their disease. Being a sick kid can be terrifying, and I want to be there to help in some way. I also greatly appreciate and enjoy how often children can recover from seemingly insurmountable disease. Far from making me sad to see illness in a child, it makes me hopeful to think about his/her potential for health and wellness and to enjoy a full life after receiving appropriate treatment. I am driven by a sense of justice, and that the children we serve deserve our best. I care deeply that we provide care in the most up to date, efficient, honest and accurate way possible.  My medial interests include: Education Thoracic Imaging Cardiac Imaging Body Imaging Ultrasound MRI I try to lead by example, to give my best effort for every child, and take as much time as needed with each family that I encounter. I know that many of the families I see, by the time they arrive in my department, are having the worst day of their lives. I want to provide comfort, reassurance and a smile in those times of difficulty because I would want the same for my family. Dr. Saul is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Bronchogenic Cyst. His top areas of expertise are Spondylocarpotarsal Synostosis Syndrome, Caudal Regression Syndrome, Scoliosis, and Hypochondroplasia.

Even at the start of my medical training, I knew I wanted to be in a field where I get to work with children. After my first child was born premature and required NICU-level care, that experience only intensified my desire to work with kids. Having a child requiring medical care is both scary and stressful. As a pediatric radiologist, my goal is to help alleviate those feelings for parents and children by providing the best radiology service and making it as kid friendly as possible. Pediatric radiology is a perfect fit for me. As a pediatric radiologist, I get to work as a consultant with many clinicians in different pediatric fields. Though radiologists are often behind the scenes, we play a vital role in diagnosing the problem, so that children can be treated and feel better. I am passionate about all areas of pediatric radiology including neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging and body imaging. I also work with all modalities including X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI. One of my roles as a radiologist is as a consultant, working with clinicians to ensure that we do the best test with the lowest radiation possible. As radiologists, we are always working to come up with new imaging techniques that can avoid or lower radiation and be more kid friendly. I care for children both at Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital and the Nemours Deptford Specialty Care and Surgery Center. At our Deptford location, you may see me involved in fluoroscopy, ultrasound and X-ray. I also perform joint injections for MRI arthrograms at our Deptford location, many which are performed to evaluate sports injuries, joint pain or congenital abnormalities. I grew up in China’s Hunan province as an active, athletic child. My mom was a physician and my dad was a medical school professor, so I had great role models. Today I’m a radiologist focusing on pediatric musculoskeletal and body imaging, with concentration on X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy (how things move inside the body). I am certified in diagnostic radiology and subspecialized in pediatric radiology by the American Board of Radiology. I have been working over 17 years, and remain an active member of the Radiological Society of North America and Society of Pediatric Radiology. I really like kids, and I’m glad to help whenever I can. I work closely with clinical teams to help make sure each child’s diagnosis is correct. I enjoy sharing my expertise with other physicians and learning from them. It’s great to get an understanding of how they approach a diagnosis. I think everyone should have access to quality healthcare. Nemours does because we treat all children regardless of their ability to pay. That’s important to me. I have a passion to be part of excellent medical care for children and do my best to provide the best services possible for each child. I believe in working as a team with the medical associates, patients and families to provide compassionate and high-quality care. My medical interest include: Ultrasound  Musculoskeletal imaging I will keep learning to improve my services with updated knowledge and advanced technique, and ensure each child receives the best care possible. Dr. Jodi E. Gustave is a pulmonologist and sleep physician at Nemurs/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. She's been a member of American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), American Thoracic Society (ATS), and American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), a peer-reviewed medical journal author and an invited presenter. This is a no-brainer. Children are amazing little beings and the future of our world. I love children's optimism and resilience and their simple, forgiving ways. They are just so precious and deserve the best of care. I practice medicine because of my curiosity about the human body and how we can help to make it work in the best way possible. When it comes to my work, I am passionate about thoroughly treating my patients and trying not to over-treat or over-study them. I am passionate about getting things right — and if I don’t know the answers, finding the person who does. I would love one day to be able to dedicate much of my time to volunteer work — to helping local or international communities in need. I have not been able to volunteer much in the medical field yet, but I was able to volunteer my time as an interpreter for Spanish-speaking families in the past and at a homeless shelter. Both experiences were so unbelievably rewarding and humbling. On the day-to-day, I try to make a difference by being humble and open to sharing any knowledge and time that I can. Dr. Gustave is rated as an Experienced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Bronchogenic Cyst. I am a Nemours radiologist based in Wilmington, Del. at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. I grew up in a family with several close family members working in various fields of health care, who I looked up to as role models. I appreciated from them that joining a medical field not only brought the responsibility of staying on top of the most up-to-date science-based treatments, but also being able to relay this to patients and their families with great empathy and compassion. I used to work primarily with adults and branched out during my career into a pediatric setting, and have absolutely enjoyed working exclusively with children ever since. Children bring such hope, energy and joy, lighting up each encounter. Their current health and well-being is crucial to their growth into a healthy adulthood. It’s a rewarding and humbling privilege to have the opportunity to try and make a positive difference in these children’s and their families lives for the better. I am passionate about working with children and their families as well as our referring physicians to find the best imaging tools possible to most efficiently and accurately identify what’s going on. In this way, patients and family members, together with their clinicians, can make the best decisions of the most appropriate care for their children. My special interests include:  imaging of sports related injuries  musculoskeletal imaging As a radiologist who is also a parent, I try to step into the caregivers’ shoes when working with children and treat them as I would want my own family treated. I try to educate the patient and family so they understand what tests are being done and what the results mean so they can be knowledgeable as they move forward with the best possible care. I began my medical career as a practicing pediatrician in Pittsburgh. During those five years, I realized that I wanted to be the doctor who is instrumental in figuring out what is wrong. So I retrained with a fellowship in pediatric radiology. I treat children because I love kids and I feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment if I can make the life of a sick or injured child easier. In radiology, I am passionate about making a diagnosis as quickly and accurately as possible so a child can receive the proper treatment. Outside of work, I am passionate about my family, dancing, Broadway shows and sunny days. When I was a practicing pediatrician, I realized that the most important part of anyone’s care is a proper diagnosis, which is not always easy to ascertain. What is the definition of Bronchogenic Cyst?

Bronchogenic cysts are abnormal growths of tissue that form in the chest cavity, usually in the area between the lungs. The cysts are filled with fluid or mucous. These growths are congenital, meaning they are present at birth.

When should I see a Bronchogenic Cyst doctor near Wilmington, DE?

There are various reasons why you may want to see a specialist, such as:

    • Your primary care provider recommends it.
    • Your condition requires expert knowledge and specialized care.
    • Your symptoms persist or worsen despite treatment.
    • You need specialized testing or procedures.
    • You want a second opinion.

What should I consider when choosing a Bronchogenic Cyst doctor near Wilmington, DE?

It’s important to see a provider with expertise in your specific condition. Each provider profile in MediFind’s doctor database includes information on which conditions they treat, years of experience, research contributions, languages spoken, insurance plans accepted, and more.

How does MediFind rank Bronchogenic Cyst doctors near Wilmington, DE?

MediFind’s rankings are based on a variety of data sources, such as the number of articles a doctor has published in medical journals, participation in clinical trials and industry conferences, as well as the number of patients that provider sees for a given condition. Note that MediFind’s provider database is not based on user reviews, and providers do not pay to be included in the database.

What types of insurance are accepted by Bronchogenic Cyst doctors near Wilmington, DE?

Most profiles in MediFind’s doctor database include a list of insurance plans accepted by that provider. However, it’s a good idea to contact the provider’s office to make sure they still accept your insurance, then doublecheck by contacting your insurance plan to confirm they’re in network.

How can I book an appointment online with a Bronchogenic Cyst doctor near Wilmington, DE?

MediFind offers direct scheduling for certain providers using the “Request Appointment” button on that provider’s profile. If the schedule option is not available for a provider, tap the red “Show Phone Number” button on their profile to get their contact information. If you prefer to find providers who offer online scheduling, select “Schedules online” under the “Availability” category of the filter feature on the left side of the Bronchogenic Cyst doctor search results page.

Why is it important to get a second opinion from a different Bronchogenic Cyst doctor?

Second opinions are an opportunity to confirm a diagnosis and its root cause, learn about alternative treatment options, or simply gain peace of mind. Many people, especially those with serious diagnoses, get second opinions so they can understand all their options and make informed decisions, so don’t hesitate to get one if you have any doubts or need more information or clarification regarding your care. Note that some insurance plans require second opinions, while others don’t cover second opinions, so be sure to confirm with your insurance provider first.

How can I prepare for my appointment with a Bronchogenic Cyst doctor near Wilmington, DE?

Prepare for your appointment by gathering the following items:

    • Copies of medical records (dating back at least one year)
    • Your medical history, including illnesses, medical conditions, surgeries, and other doctors you see
    • Family history of disease
    • List of current prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal remedies or supplements including names and doses
    • Allergies to medications, food, latex, insects, etc.
    • List of questions and concerns
    • Your insurance card

You might also contact the provider’s office to see if they offer transportation or childcare services or if you’re allowed to bring a loved one for support or to take notes during your visit.

What questions should I ask my Bronchogenic Cyst doctor?

    Here are some sample questions:

    • Can you explain in simple terms what this condition is and how it’s treated?
    • What symptoms or side effects should I watch for?
    • What tests will be involved, and when can I expect results?
    • Are there other specialists I need to see?
    • What’s the best way to reach you if I have follow-up questions?

How can I learn about the latest clinical trials and research advances my Bronchogenic Cyst doctor may know about?

MediFind’s Clinical Trials tool asks you a series of questions to help you narrow down your search by health condition, age, gender, location, how far you’re willing to travel, and more. Each question you answer filters down the number of trials until you find the ones that are most relevant to you.

MediFind’s Latest Advances tool features summaries of recent articles published in medical journals. We use cutting-edge technology to scour medical publication databases for the latest research advancements on any given condition, then we simplify this information in a way that’s useful and easy to understand.

Can I filter my search to show male or female Bronchogenic Cyst doctors near Wilmington, DE?

Look for the filter feature on the left side of the Bronchogenic Cyst doctor search results page. Select “Female” or “Male” under the “Gender” category to search for female or male providers exclusively. If the “Any” option is selected, it will pull results for both male and female providers.

Can I filter my search to find a Bronchogenic Cyst doctor that offers video calls?

Look for the filter feature on the left-side of the Bronchogenic Cyst doctor search results page. Select “Offers telehealth visits” under the Availability category to search for providers who offer virtual appointments (video calls).
