Overview
Dr. Robert Purvis is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. He received his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and completed two residency programs: dermatology at Texas Tech University and internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital. As a healthcare provider in South Carolina, fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and past president of the South Carolina Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, he is active in patient care, research, leadership, and legislative efforts to improve patient outcomes and access to care. Dr. Purvis has a special interest in the prevention and treatment of skin cancer and is the longest-standing Mohs micrographic surgery provider on the Grand Strand. He has provided services in dermatology, dermatologic surgery, dermatopathology, and Mohs micrographic surgery in the Myrtle Beach, Conway, Surfside, and surrounding areas for 29 years and welcomes patients of all ages for medical skin care needs.
