My ultimate goal is their happiness. | Why I entered medicine | I knew I wanted to become a plastic and reconstructive surgeon when I read the book “The Work of Human Hands.” It’s about a pediatric surgeon in Boston and tells the stories of the children and families he helped throughout his career. I shared the physician’s desire to help people and make a real difference in their lives. | Community involvement | I volunteer with surgical missions as part of the organization Healing the Children. I visit third-world countries to care for children with cleft lip and cleft palate. I also care for our community as a member of our Bariatric Support Group and Multidisciplinary Breast Disease Management Team. | Personal interests | In my free time, I enjoy coaching my children’s sports teams, golfing, fly-fishing and reading.
