Frank Wydra, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. His clinical interests include shoulder, hip, and knee injuries, as well as shoulder replacement. Dr. Wydra uses advanced surgical techniques to perform procedures such as rotator cuff repairs, knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, and hip arthroscopy. He trained at Denver Health and also treats a wide range of fractures and traumatic injuries. Originally from Palos Park, Illinois, Dr. Wydra earned his BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a Chemistry minor from the University of Illinois, followed by an MA in Medical Science from Loyola University Chicago. He received his medical degree from Rush University Medical College, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Colorado in 2018, providing care for student-athletes at various local sporting events. To further specialize in sports medicine, Dr. Wydra completed a fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Institute, a Cedars-Sinai affiliate. There, he served as assistant team physician for the LA Galaxy, US Women’s Soccer, Pepperdine University, and other organizations.
