Dr. Thomas Mann is a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist who joined Cornerstone Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, a division of OCC, in 2000. He is a fellow of The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the leading organization for sports medicine in the U.S. Dr. Mann graduated with honors from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his orthopedic residency at Penn State University, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Ohio State University, gaining advanced training in arthroscopic surgery and team coverage across multiple sports, including football, soccer, hockey, and gymnastics. His experience includes work with teams such as the Columbus Chill, Hershey Bears, and the U.S. Under-17 Soccer Team during a European tour. Locally, he has provided sideline coverage for Ralston Valley High School Football for over five years. There, he served as assistant team physician for the LA Galaxy, US Women’s Soccer, Pepperdine University, and other organizations. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, caring for athletes from Vanderbilt University and the Nashville Predators. Dr. Swinehart then completed a Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University. There, he specialized in advanced arthroscopic procedures, cartilage restoration, complex reconstructions, and shoulder replacements.
