She currently serves as the Director of the Hackettstown Dialysis Center and Co-Director of the Newton Dialysis Center. An active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Medical Association, Dr. Sodagum is committed to advancing nephrology care. She has also contributed to research in hyperglycemia-induced DNA damage, the renal effects of Celebrex, and studies focused on hypertensive type 2 diabetic patients with overt nephropathy.
