Dr. Thomas J. Hood

Thomas Hood, MD, practices family medicine at Geisinger 65 Forward Health Center in Shamokin, Pa. His clinical interests and services include preventive care, cryotherapy, trigger finger injections and joint injections.|After completing his undergraduate studies in biology at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Dr. Hood earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center.|Dr. Hood is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in family medicine. Before 65 Forward, he worked for nearly 22 years at the Geisinger Kulpmont Clinic, where, as site lead, he designed projects to improve patient care and served as a mentor to young providers.
