Dr. Aditi Khokhar
Overview
Aditi Khokhar, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist with Atlantic Medical Group. She is double-board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics, and fellowship-trained in pediatric endocrinology. Dr. Khokhar has experience diagnosing, treating, and managing children and teens with growth, puberty, diabetes, or other disorders related to the hormones and endocrine glands.Dr. Khokhar understands that children are not just small adults but growing individuals whose hormones affect growth, development, and maturity. She has experience treating the full spectrum of endocrine problems at all stages of childhood and teen years. Her special interests include obesity, prediabetes and diabetes, and bone health, and she employs the latest advances in treatment including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring, where appropriate. Recognizing the significant effects endocrine disorders can have on a child’s physical and emotional well-being, Dr. Khokhar strives to maintain good lines of communication with her patients and their parents, helping them manage endocrine conditions while maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. She is actively involved in teaching and research, has published extensively, and has presented at national and international conferences on topics including obesity, diabetes, precocious puberty, vitamin D disorders, and pituitary disorders. She is an active member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society.Dr. Khokhar speaks Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi. After earning her degree from Sarojini Naidu Medical College in India, she completed her residency in the United States at Northwell Health Staten Island University Hospital, NY, and a fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Kings County Hospital, NY.
