Dr David Jayakar received his medical degree with honors atMadras Medical College in Madras, India and immigrated tothe United States in 1991. Shortly thereafter, he completedhis surgical residency at SUNY-Downstate, NY. He thenonward completed his fellowship at the University ofArizona, Tucson. He began his practice at the University ofChicago and entered private practise since 2003.Dr Jayakar is certified by the American Board of ThoracicSurgery and General Surgery.
