Overview
Being originally from a small island in the Caribbean where community is everything, my joy in practicing medicine stems from the privilege of connecting with my patients while managing the often challenging and burdensome disease they face. I believe endocrinology is my calling as it is a specialty that' intertwines different organ systems while encompassing very common and sometimes unique diseases. However it is a specialty that constantly reminds you of the human side of medicine as you often look beyond the disease into the individual circumstances of the patient and with that, building that trust to figure out the best approach to their health.Nothing keeps me busier outside of work than keeping up with the energy of my toddler son. My family is my joy. I also enjoy watching sports and taking strolls outdoors.
