As an interventional spine specialist, I see patients with spine related problems, neck pain with/without associated arm symptoms, and back pain with/without associated leg symptoms. I perform spine related injections and other procedures with or without fluoroscopic guidance. I consider my patients as my teammates, and we work together to tackle the problems they have. My goal is to return them to better functioning and quality of life. I also work closely with excellent spine surgeons in our Spine Center for cases that fail to improve with conservative treatments. Our treatments center around the application of regenerative therapies that promote the active resolution of inflammation and pain for several arthritic conditions. I find it extremely rewarding to watch patients progress during their treatment course and meet their goals. I’m currently the Division Chief for Pain Medicine, a member of Duke’s Center for Translational Pain Medicine, Director of Regenerative Pain Therapies, and serve on the Editorial Board of Pain Medicine.
