Dr. Kathleen B. Sekpe
Overview
Dr. Kathleen Sekpe is a dedicated obstetrician-gynecologist committed to caring for women through every stage of life, from the teenage and childbearing years through perimenopause and beyond, with care tailored to each woman’s unique health needs. She began her medical career as a physician and teacher in 2017, serving at Bergan Mercy Hospital and on the faculty of Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. Most recently, she served for two years as Vice Chair of the Women’s Department at Bergan Mercy, prior to setting down roots in North Texas in 2025. Dr. Sekpe has been a mentor to students and physicians in OB-GYN, labor and delivery, and the operating room. She is a board-certified OB-GYN with special interests in the areas of normal and high-risk pregnancy care, minimally invasive and robotic-assisted gynecologic surgeries, and menopause management. With her blend of medical expertise, compassion and commitment to women’s health, she creates a supportive environment where women feel heard, respected and cared for. Dr. Sekpe earned her medical degree and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Creighton University School of Medicine. She has served on numerous committees as a champion of women’s health. Dr. Sekpe is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is passionate about equipping women with the knowledge and tools they need to optimize their health, empowering them to live their best lives. Whether a woman is seeking routine gynecologic care, guidance during pregnancy or support in navigating the transitions of midlife and beyond, she is honored to walk alongside them on their health journey. Away from the office, Dr. Sekpe likes to spend time with her family, hike, dance, and experience different cultures. She speaks fluent Spanish.
