I’m passionate about getting people back to doing what they want to do, whether it’s going back to work, golfing or playing with their grandchildren. It’s rewarding to improve a patient’s quality of life. | Why I entered medicine | Members of my family are physicians, and I was an EMT in college. However, I was inspired to become a physiatrist when I had a tumor removed from my leg. The surgery led to nerve problems that affected my ability do everyday activities, like getting in and out of a chair. I believe these functional issues are often overlooked in medicine, and as a physiatrist, they are the things I address for my patients. | Personal interests | I enjoy spending time outdoors. I go to parks, bike and ski.
