Dr. Spann has over 30 years of experience in gynecology and gynecologic oncology. During his time at Emory, he served as Chief of the Gynecologic Oncology Service at both Emory Midtown and Grady Hospital. Dr. Spann is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a Diplomate for the American Board of Quality Assurance Utilization Review Physicians. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Spann served as president of the Atlanta Medical Association and the Georgia OBGYN Society.Dr. Spann specializes in managing patients with cancer in the female reproductive tract. He has a surgical interest in robot/laparoscopic minimal invasive surgery.In his spare time, Dr. Spann enjoys hiking, bicycling, reading and travel.Dr. Spann welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
