A native of Atlanta, Dr. Walton earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Before joining the Piedmont Physicians Group (PPG), Dr. Walton was an assistant professor in the Department of Family/Preventative Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and medical director of the Asa G. Yancey Health Center in Atlanta. She is board`certified in internal medicine.
