He is vice-chair of International Affairs of the Department of Pediatrics at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and is professor of pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by his fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Yale University.
